Metaverse Republic new headquarters

Thanks to Colleen Kesey, the Metaverse Republic has some lovely new headquarters in the “Tabula Rasa” private estate. The island is dedicated to law and legal education, and has some delightful buildings and features.

The headquarters features conference facilities, art by Aeleen Tompsen (of Another Shade of Blue and member of the Constitutional Team), a world clock, as well as tea and cake for longer meetings. New art will be added in the next days, so keep an eye on forthcoming changes!

You can take a look at the snapshots we posted on Flickr or visit the real thing right away.

Thank you Colleen, and please join us to take a look to the new HQ and know more about the Metaverse Republic!

Welcome to The Metaverse Republic

The Metaverse Republic, currently work in progress, will be a legal system for Second Life, with real powers of enforcement originating in user-created tools, and a democratic parliament.

There are many disputes and potential disputes in SecondLife that could benefit from formal resolution: disputes about broken agreements, land use, alleged griefing, extortion, etc. The Metaverse Republic aims to provide an effective and fair system for resolving such disputes.
