Interview on Metaversed.com

Metaversed.com published an interview on the Metaverse Republic, which generated an interesting stream of comments. You can download the podcast or listen to it on-line. We would like to thank Nick Wilson for this opportunity.

We would also like to thank Benjamin Duranske (also known as Benjamin Noble, the president of the Second Life Bar Association) for his post reporting about the interview.

What gives you people the right to govern? What are your credentials? What if people don’t recognize your “authority”? You are not LL so we don’t have to listen to you or abide by your rulings. How can you operate and enforce?

…I kinda respect what you are doing but I don’t like it.

Despite the fact we don’t normally allow or answer to anonymous comments, you raise an interesting question which I think will be asked us frequently.
We understand this kind of concern, but the answer is pretty straightforward: we are not going to govern, *you* will. By subscribing to our system, you get the right to vote for representative to the Parliament, and they will vote to pass the bills, on which the judiciary is going to judge. One of the things should be most clear now is that all we are doing is to design a framework, a Constitution, under which all the institutions of the Metaverse Republic will operate. I hope this answers your question, and thank you for asking :-)
