This metagovernment idea is fascinating and very interesting, but it's radically different from ours and takes off from different grounds. I don't see much compatibility at this stage. There might be a common ground in the technical side, if they ever get the system implemented in Second Life. As for your suggestion, is not only the technological restraints that direct democracy doesn't work in real worlds, unfortunately.
