To answer your question: indeed, they'll be started from scratch. There are two main reasons for this: one is that one should then establish from which common law system to take the precedents. One of the beauty of Second Life and other virtual worlds is that they are transnational, establishing such a strong link to that or another system would not make much sense. The second one is that the Metaverse Republic is being designed *in* virtual worlds *for* virtual worlds; the only valid precedents will therefore be the ones based on virdicts issued by the Metaverse Republic courts.</description>
